- Very nice surroundings, and a lovely farm/stud, great little dams to go bass fishing, but our accommodation was very disappointing. I am not sure how they qualify for 4 stars. We were short on crockery and utensils, basin was completely loose in the one bathroom held only in place by the pipes, which is dangerous with kids - we reported it to the cleaners to pass on to the management. Along with our frozen drawer in the freezer. We got sour milk on 2 mornings, (they did send lovely coconut squares each morning) wet fire wood for the fire place. Both canoes were sunk in the dam during our week stay. I fell through a small gumpole bridge on the dam, wood was rotten, easy and inexpensive to replace if they tried. We were there a week and did not have our towels changed. The most disappointing part or our stay was my parents-in-law getting covered in flea bites from their bed on the last night! I phoned to let CCL know about the flea bites and they were more grateful for letting them know than apologising for the bites! Also flies are terrible because of the horse stud. I wouldn't recommend this place, seems like there are nicer places to stay in the area. Potential to be a lovely place but management not up to standard.
