Gateside consists of spacious and cosy bedrooms, some with fireplaces and all include DSTV(commercial bouquet),fans, heaters, hair-dryers,teatrays,hospitality fridges, wireless internet, electric blankets and kitchenettes. A delicious full English breakfast is served on the deck of the main house or you may prefer a self-catering option. Other amenities:Fax.Secure parking.Braai facilities. Laundry. Credit Cards. Children are welcome.

Guests are very welcome to use the saltwater swimming pool and completely relax in peaceful surroundings. There is also a trampoline for the youngsters.

Airports: Pietermaritzburg's Oribi airport is half an hour's drive & Durban, which has an International airport, is only 50 minutes away so even after a long flight you will soon be at your destination – Gateside Guest House.Transfers can be arranged with a qualified local tour operator.

Gateside Guesthouse – Comprises 2 family units (sleeping 4 persons), one suite for a couple + a child & 2 double rooms which can convert to a family unit for 4 people. All come with bathrooms ensuite.Amenities offered in all rooms are mentioned above.

Big Studio – (ground floor) Open plan double room comprising twin single beds (which can be converted to a King-size double bed), lounge/dining/kitchenette area.Gas fireplace. Bathroom en-suite has shower, toilet and wash basin.

Small Studio - "Bedroom with a View" has king bed or twin singles, bathroom ensuite being shower, separate loo.

Studio units have inter-leading door and is ideal for conversion into a family unit.

Tree Tops – Spacious open plan loft unit having queen bed, 2 singles, lounge/dining/kitchenette area. Bathroom ensuite has Victorian bath & separate shower. Wall heaters for chilly evenings. Stunning view from the balcony.

Tiny Gateside – Lovely family cottage with private verandah. Main bedroom has queen bed & a second smaller bedroom with 2 singles. Sitting room area with cosy Victorian fireplace, open plan dining/kitchenette area. Bathroom has shower over bath.

Directions

From the N3, take the Hilton off-ramp(number 94) & turn onto Hilton Avenue heading towards the village(signposted).You pass Hilton Hotel on the left, Shell garage further down on the right & then the Kwikspar superette on the right.Approximately 200m past the Kwikspar shops, take the first road left, Quarry Road(you will see Brindy Road opposite to the right).Go down a dip, pass Build-It Hardware on the left & follow the road straight uphill until you reach Gateside on your left(a large green & white signboard).Only a 5 minute drive from the highway.
