DescriptionI’m often asked what kind of food is Polish food and here is your answer - plate-licking good food.That’s the kind of food we serve in Little Poland - Southern Africa’s only restaurant with authentic Polish cuisine. We offer a traditional Polish menu and specialties that once nourished Polish knights, nobles and kings. Chef/owner Mira Staszowska (that’s me) prepares all dishes on the menu using original recipes, local, organic ingredients and unique imported products that reflect the genuine flavour of traditional Polish food. You will find a bit of everything on our menu, from delicious soups like Barszcz (beetroot soup) or Pea Soup to our ever popular smoked sausages and hams, stews like Bigos (cooked for 6 days in red wine with wild mushrooms, prunes, and different types of meat, Goulash, and Golabki (cabbage leaves stuffed with mince, topped with a fresh tomato sauce and served with dill potatoes. We offer best quality steaks ,pork and fish ,tender and succulent Lamb shank and Golonka (If you like Eisbein you have to try this) . And, of course imported Polish vodka which we flavour ourselves with fresh fruits , sometimes honey and spices. Our wine list covers good selection of South African and French wines.
