Kamberg Nature Reserve in the Natal Drakensberg Park is a delightful area with attractive picnic sites near the river and trout dams and many well maintained self guided walks in the area. Accommodation is provided in rest huts, a self-contained cottages as well as in an old farmhouse featuring a lovely rustic cottage and rondavel.

Kamberg nestles in the foothills of the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park , its central position ideal for visits to many other well known Berg areas from Lotheni to Giants Castle. Kamberg is a delightful spot in it's own right with three attractive picnic sites near the river and trout dams which provide a relaxing alternative to the scenic attractions of the many well maintained walks in the area.  

Accommodation

Kamberg Camp is an attractive midlands resort nestled in the southern foothills of the uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park, surrounded by trout dams, streams and open grassland. There are three picnic sites as well as many scenic self-guided walks.

Kamberg camp provides guests with the option of one six-bed chalet, one five-bed chalet and five two-bed chalets. The self-catering Stillerus cottage accommodates eight guests for those who require peace and solitude. The five two-bed chalets have been extensively renovated and now boast en-suite bathroom facilities and kitchenettes. A communal lounge is also available for the convenience of guests.

Directions

DIRECTIONS TO KAMBERG NATURE RESERVE Access to the reserve is along a partly tarred road, off the main N3 highway. From the north, turn off at the tollgate at Mooi River, and take the first left turn to Rosetta. This route has approximately 32 km of tar and 9 km of gravel road. From the south, turn off the main highway to Nottingham Road, and travel through Nottingham Road Village to Rosetta. At Rosetta turn left and follow signposts to Kamberg.
