Description********** Spotties as it is affectionally known is situated on the San Souci Farm, which is probably one of the largest Appaloosa stud farms in South Africa. **************************** Under the new ownership of the Esterhuizen Family, Lushan and Alesha are now running The Spotted Horse Country Inn and continue the renowned tradition of fun, friendly hospitality.
The Spotted Horse Country Inn provides a comfortable relaxing escape whilst appreciating the scenic surroundings. We have DSTV in the main Bar area or unwind in the elegant communal lounge, furnished with comfortable chairs and complimented by an open log fireplace.
Our menu features a few local favourites such as the Kamburger, BBQ Ribs or Steak, however you like it!!! A lot of preparation, attention and effort go towards giving you an enjoyable dining experience.
On Sundays try our delectable Buffet, served from 1:00pm - 3.00pm.
After dining in the fabulous restaurant retreat to the fantastic Boma with a nightcap from the friendly bar, interact with other guests or simply relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the striking 360° fireplace.

DirectionsThe Spotted Horse is in the Kamberg valley, KwaZulu Natal, nestled in the shadows of Mount Lebanon and Mount Cleopatra - foothills of the greater Drakensberg leading to the Giants castle. Our nearest “towns” are Rosetta, Mooi River and Nottingham Road. If you are traveling from JHB: From the N3 Durban, take the Mooi River Turn off and follow signs to Rosetta (travel approx. 12kms) In Rosetta you will see signs for Kamberg nature reserve turn RIGHT and travel exactly 32kms; The Spotted Horse will be on your right hand side next to a sign that says Berg Trails. 100m from the tar road. If you are traveling from Durban : From the N3, take the Nottingham Road Turn off, turn right at the stop street and drive 7km to Nottingham Road. Road will fork, take the right, go under the railway bridge & follow signs to Rosetta (another 7km). In Rosetta turn left (Kamberg Nature Reserve road) and travel 32kms to The Spotted Horse. It will be on your right and is next to a sign that says Berg Trails. 100m from the tar road. |
